” It is a good day to die “
You know it’s a great day in music when you realise your two most favourite bands are releasing an album, or are in the midst or recording a new one.
Radiohead: I forget the weblink, but i clearly saw a text saying that they have stepped into the studios once again to record their new album.
New album = New tour = New potential to catch them.
Incubus: Monuments & Melodies will be released 16th June. A double disc set, compilations on one, b-sides and rarities on the other.

Nostalgia at it’s creative best, Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood have been inspirations to many in creating opportunities and avenues for expression/exploration.
I would really like to catch them sometime soon because at their age i highly predict a maximum of all but one new album to be released, and a few more worldwide tours before they decide to venture to new eras of their lives.
To me the progression of their album tells much about the changes in life, in general as i perceive.
Pablo Honey was safe to say nonetheless.
Ok Computer shot them to the heights beyond their imagination
Kid A maintaned that bar that had been set.
In Rainbows showed a context of maturity, perhaps mellowness in comparison to previous albums and a much more toned down sound in my humble opinion.
Cue their album progession. Ditto to life’s progression, at least for the majority of us.
One of my favourite tracks for which they lyrics have perhaps no signifance due to the general inability to understand and perceive the words Thom belts is Idioteque, my first forray perhaps into the electronic music scene. Check out how Jonny pins the whatever mechanism he is using, Thom spasming to create to notion of an echo.
Pull me out of this rat cage
